Calculus

Honestly, of all the subjects we have this semester, the one I like the most is calculus. I am sure that most would not say that this is the subject they most enjoy studying, at first I did not like it either, but eventually I managed to love it, surely it is because it was in the first subject that I really felt that with each exercise I was moving forward a bit (and for that small feeling of happiness to finish an exercise and that is correct). Also that this subject serves as an introduction to learn to form more complex mathematical models (using derivatives and integrals, geometrical series or vectorial analysis for example) while forming a more methodical thought (although others find it boring).
Until now and almost at the end of the semester we have seen functions and limits and how they are graphed in the Cartesian plane, and in classes we are always passing new content while trying to relate what is seen with the past subjects, although frankly I do not pay much attention, since I prefer to study on my own.

The best holidays I've had

Frankly I have not had a very remarkable holidays, but the one I like to remember is when with my family (my parents, brother and sister) toured the north of Chile. It was in the summer of 2008, we start in Santiago and move on until we reach Arica. We passed through the big cities of the regions and tourist places of each place, like Humberstone, La mano del desierto, Valle de la Luna, etc. Somedays it was just a car ride, although with stops in a row, because my brothers and I were very small and we couldn't stay calm for long time and other days we would dedicate ourselves to touring the places, eating local food, taking many photos, going to the beaches, taking walks in the squares and parks. The trip lasted two weeks (it was all my father's vacation) and those are the most beautiful memories of my childhood, those always make me smile, especially for remembering the nonsense we did and for the wonder of touring a large part of the country, which at that time for me was so...

My future Job

Personally, I have always wanted to work in a laboratory, I still don't know which major to choose, so the focus area of that laboratory is still not clear to me, maybe it's from construction sample analysis, in the future I may live in the north and be related to soil samples or mining, or even go abroad and work in some advanced synthesis laboratory. Being a laboratory it should be indoor. I would also like to participate in many meetings and travel for my work, and not only present reports and papers. Regarding salary, I know that at the beginning it won't be much, so I hope to get a scholarship to continue studying, it may be to get an engineering degree, which improves the salary a lot. I imagine that I will start as a research assistant or maybe in some small sample laboratory, and in time I will find a place that fits me, I do not plan to stay in the same job for long (as long as that idea is possible). What I most want is to find a place where I feel comfort...

Postgraduate studies

I want to do postgraduate studies, I love studying topics that I like and since I was little I have the idea of continuing my studies to learn a lot. I would like to take courses to obtain an engineering degree (since as I wrote in my previous blog, it would allow me to earn a better salary), besides I want to deepen my majors to feel like a scholar. Other subjects that I would like to study are administration, management, maybe economics If I could, I would take part-time clases, this year I learned that distance courses are not my thing, also that I enjoy that time of travel to go somewhere and think about the topics that I will see (as long as you are not in a hurry or have evaluations) Many times my aunt has recommended that I do my postgraduate studies in France and i like the idea, but the biggests questions I have about the idea is where I will get the money to pay for the courses, maybe I will opt for scholarships and if I will have the time to study without stressing t...
