Photography

I do not usually appreciate the photographs I see on the internet. Despite spending most of the day observing photographs on social networks or media. I rarely stay to think about what they show in them, but this photography of a power plant in Charleroi, Belgium really call my attention.

Originally build in 1921, it was one of the largest coal burning power plants in this country, but for the large amount of dioxide emissions was closed in 2007.

I like this photography because it shows how nature finally imposes itself on human construction, it also talks about another time, about how people produced energy in another way and how many modern buildings, such as shopping centers, modern power plants or departmental buildings will end in the same way.

The photography was taken in 2015 (I could not find the name of the person who took the picture) and appears in several photographic collections on urban exploration and buildings of the last century.

My future Job

Personally, I have always wanted to work in a laboratory, I still don't know which major to choose, so the focus area of that laboratory is still not clear to me, maybe it's from construction sample analysis, in the future I may live in the north and be related to soil samples or mining, or even go abroad and work in some advanced synthesis laboratory. Being a laboratory it should be indoor. I would also like to participate in many meetings and travel for my work, and not only present reports and papers. Regarding salary, I know that at the beginning it won't be much, so I hope to get a scholarship to continue studying, it may be to get an engineering degree, which improves the salary a lot. I imagine that I will start as a research assistant or maybe in some small sample laboratory, and in time I will find a place that fits me, I do not plan to stay in the same job for long (as long as that idea is possible). What I most want is to find a place where I feel comfort...

A country I'd like to visit

A country I'v e wanted to go to for a few years is Germany. I don't know much about that country other than its role in the history of the last century and that was part of the Holy Roman Empire, but its cities,  like Berlin or Munich,  call my attention. I would like to go on vacation to visit historical places of the Second World War and see centuries-old buildings, such as castles or churches and I would especially like to go to Hamburg, because my girlfriend has relatives in that city and we both want to go to Miniatur-Wunderland, the most largest model railway attraction in the world. Also, of course I want to buy many souvenirs and eat the typical food like würstchen, brötchen and the bier. Another reason why I want to go to Germany is because it is next to France and I really want to visit my uncle and my cousins to see in person how much they have grown.

The best holidays I've had

Frankly I have not had a very remarkable holidays, but the one I like to remember is when with my family (my parents, brother and sister) toured the north of Chile. It was in the summer of 2008, we start in Santiago and move on until we reach Arica. We passed through the big cities of the regions and tourist places of each place, like Humberstone, La mano del desierto, Valle de la Luna, etc. Somedays it was just a car ride, although with stops in a row, because my brothers and I were very small and we couldn't stay calm for long time and other days we would dedicate ourselves to touring the places, eating local food, taking many photos, going to the beaches, taking walks in the squares and parks. The trip lasted two weeks (it was all my father's vacation) and those are the most beautiful memories of my childhood, those always make me smile, especially for remembering the nonsense we did and for the wonder of touring a large part of the country, which at that time for me was so...
